About Aesthetic Gynecologic Society of the Philippines Inc.
AGSPi
The Aesthetic Gynecologic Society of the Philippines, Inc., a Securities and Exchange Commission-registered society,
Our society, composed of pioneers in aesthetic gynecology and trained energy-based therapeutic gynecology providers who belong to the esteemed Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, has a vision to be “a leading professional organization of competent, Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology-certified gynecologists in the Philippines, dedicated to the practice of aesthetic and functional gynecology and the leader in initiating and promoting surgical and non-surgical innovations in aesthetic and functional gynecology in the Philippines.”
Our mission is to “create a positive impact on the woman’s quality of life by providing her with life-empowering changes through aesthetic gynecology; to ensure excellent, state-of-the-art, and ethical practice of aesthetic and functional gynecology among its members by conducting research, continuing medical education, and skills-enhancement activities; and to develop a sense of oneness among its members by promoting teamwork and unselfish collaboration, blending skills and sharing knowledge and expertise with fellow members.”
There is now a clamor for non-invasive gynecologic procedures that provide safer, easier and faster treatment approaches to a number of gynecologic conditions that otherwise are either surgically treated or plainly ignored. Gynecologists now have the opportunity to be capacitated to utilize powerful tools that will allow non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments to alleviate common conditions such as genitourinary syndrome of menopause, vaginal laxity, and stress urinary incontinence, to name a few.
No longer are these technologies solely for aesthetic uses. Rather, as the current evidence continues to accumulate, their legitimacy and importance in gynecology is emerging rapidly. These are innovations that we can no longer be ignored as women have become keen on looking for alternative treatments and have easy access to global information that extols the successes of these interventions.
Because of the proliferation of non-gynecologists as providers of energy-based gynecology, the society seeks to protect patients from potential harm by advocating that our specialty be the sole provider of these services considering that we have the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude to deal with our patients’ gynecologic problems.
The society aims to grow its membership from the POGS membership by providing training opportunities, convening conferences and workshops and offering virtual updates that will be available for POGS members.
